QualityPRO Power Washing Commercial Concrete Wash

Designed and implemented a dedicated trash room for efficient waste collection and management within the facility.

This project involved a detailed commercial concrete wash of a dedicated trash room in a Chattanooga facility, with the goal of restoring cleanliness, improving sanitation, and extending the life of the concrete surface.

The work began with a full walkthrough of the trash room to identify heavy soil areas, grease buildup, organic residue, and any pre-existing surface damage. All movable items and loose debris were cleared from the area to expose the full slab and wall bases. Floor drains, corners, and baseboards were checked so that water flow and cleanup could be managed efficiently.

Once the space was prepped, the concrete was treated with commercial-grade cleaners selected specifically for waste-handling environments. Degreasers and detergents were applied to break down layers of compacted grime, spilled liquids, and trash-related residues that had accumulated over time. This dwell phase allowed the cleaning agents to penetrate porous areas of the slab and lift embedded contaminants.

After the pretreatment, the team used professional pressure-washing equipment calibrated to clean aggressively without damaging the concrete surface. The cleaning was done methodically, section by section, with close attention to:

- Perimeter edges where buildup tends to collect
- Around drains and under stationary fixtures
- Wall-to-floor transitions and corners
- High-traffic paths used by staff and collection carts

Runoff was managed so that loosened material and dirty water were directed toward the drainage system without spreading back over clean areas. Any remaining stubborn spots were spot-treated and rewashed until the surface was visibly clear of residue.

Following the main wash, the area was rinsed thoroughly to remove all cleaning agents and suspended debris. Drains were checked to ensure they were flowing properly and not obstructed by loosened material. Final passes were made to remove standing water and leave the space ready to return to service.

By the end of the project, the trash room’s concrete floor and lower wall sections were visibly brighter, free from heavy staining, and noticeably improved in both cleanliness and odor. The completed work provided a cleaner, safer, and more hygienic waste-handling area for the facility’s staff and operations.
