Deep cleaned entrance and exit concrete pads of scale using detergent wash and rinse to remove mold, mildew, dust, pollen, and dirt.
This project involved a focused deep clean of the concrete entrance and exit pads at a commercial scale in Chattanooga, with special attention to preserving adjacent areas exactly as instructed.
The work began with a careful walkthrough of the site to confirm boundaries and exclusions. The concrete pads at the entrance and exit of the scale were the only surfaces treated. The concrete near the tank was left untouched, and the lower area between the pads was intentionally not cleaned, in line with site requirements.
Once the work area was clearly defined, the concrete pads were surface-washed using a controlled blend of detergents formulated to address organic and environmental buildup. This cleaning solution was selected to break down mold, mildew, dust, pollen, dirt, and other surface residues that had accumulated from regular traffic and exposure to the elements. The detergents were applied evenly and allowed proper dwell time to loosen contaminants without damaging the concrete.
A professional surface washer was then used to clean the pads uniformly, ensuring consistent results across both the entrance and exit sections. Particular care was taken around edges, transitions, and high-traffic tire paths so that the pads were cleaned thoroughly without overspray into the areas designated as off-limits.
After the washing step, the concrete was thoroughly rinsed to remove all detergent and lifted debris, leaving no residue behind. The result is a noticeably brighter, cleaner set of concrete pads at the scale entrance and exit, with improved appearance and a fresher, safer-feeling surface for vehicles and personnel, all completed within the defined project boundaries.
