This project involved a focused cleaning of an oil-stained section of an asphalt parking lot, along with a full soft wash of an adjacent commercial building constructed of brick, stone, and/or block.

**Asphalt Parking Lot – Oil Spot Remediation and Surface Cleaning**
Work began with the targeted treatment of a defined area of asphalt where oil staining was present. The goal was to reduce the visibility of the stain as much as the surface and age of the asphalt would allow, without causing damage.

- The oil-affected section was pre-treated with a specialized oil-removal chemical designed for petroleum-based stains on asphalt.
- Heated water was then applied to activate and enhance the cleaning power of the oil remover, helping to break down and lift the oil from the surface.
- The area was allowed to dwell for an appropriate period so the product could penetrate and emulsify the oil within the asphalt’s surface texture.
- Following dwell time, the stained section was thoroughly surface washed using detergents formulated to address remaining residues such as light mold, mildew, dirt, and other contaminants around the affected area.
- The work was confined specifically to the area where the oil staining was visible; only that portion of the parking lot received this detailed treatment.
- After cleaning, the entire treated area was extensively rinsed to remove all loosened contaminants, detergents, and oil residues, leaving the asphalt as clean as the condition of the surface would permit.

**Commercial Building Exterior – Brick/Stone/Block Soft Wash**
In conjunction with the parking lot work, the exterior of the commercial building was cleaned using a low-pressure soft wash process appropriate for masonry surfaces such as brick, stone, or block.

- A blend of mild detergents was applied across all accessible sides of the building’s exterior. This cleaning solution was selected to address organic growth and airborne contaminants without harming the masonry or mortar.
- The detergent mix was allowed to dwell long enough to break down mold, mildew, algae, pollen, dirt, dust, and other surface residues embedded in the textured surfaces.
- Any areas with heavier buildup were lightly agitated where needed to ensure an even cleaning result.
- The building was then rinsed thoroughly using low-pressure SoftWash equipment. The reduced pressure protected the masonry and joints from damage while still providing full coverage and effective rinsing.
- All sides of the building within the project scope were completed, leaving the exterior visibly brighter and free of surface contaminants.

By the end of the project, the oil-stained portion of the asphalt parking lot had been treated and cleaned to its best achievable condition, and the commercial masonry exterior had been fully soft washed and rinsed, restoring a cleaner, fresher appearance to both the parking area and the building façade.
