This project involved a thorough, on-site cleaning of two pieces of commercial construction equipment in Chattanooga: a JCB 85Z-2 and a JCB Teleskid. The work was completed within a two-hour service window, during which both machines were carefully and systematically cleaned to restore a clean, professional appearance and remove accumulated jobsite grime.

The process began with an inspection of both units to identify the heaviest buildup areas—typically around tracks, undercarriages, boom arms, hydraulic connections, bucket/attachment points, and engine bay access areas. This allowed the cleaning effort to be focused where dirt, grease, and caked-on mud tend to collect and where residue, if left alone, can obscure inspection points and contribute to premature wear.

Once the equipment was assessed, a pressure washing setup was prepared using a tailored blend of detergents formulated for heavy equipment. The cleaning agents were carefully applied to all accessible exterior surfaces of both machines, including:

The cleaning concluded with a thorough, clean-water rinse of both pieces of equipment. This final step ensured that no detergent film remained on painted surfaces, glass, or metal components. It also left the machines in a condition where visual inspections, maintenance checks, and daily walk-arounds could be carried out more easily, without residue obscuring components.
