QualityPRO Power Washing
This completed project in the Chattanooga / Red Bank area involved a full exterior painting and restoration of a residential property, carried out with careful attention to both appearance and long-term durability.
The job began with a thorough inspection of the existing exterior surfaces, including siding, trim, doors, and architectural details. All problem areas—such as peeling paint, hairline cracks, weathered wood, and minor surface imperfections—were identified and addressed before any finish work began. Surfaces were washed to remove dirt, mildew, and chalking, and then allowed to dry completely to ensure proper adhesion of primers and topcoats.
Prep work was a major focus. Loose and failing paint was scraped and sanded to create smooth, feathered edges. Any bare wood or exposed substrate was spot-primed, and in areas with more extensive wear, a full-coat primer was applied. Gaps and seams around windows, doors, trim, and siding joints were recaulked to improve both weather resistance and energy efficiency, while damaged or rotted trim boards were repaired or replaced as needed.
Once preparation was complete, high-quality exterior coatings were applied in a coordinated color scheme that complemented the home’s style and surrounding neighborhood. Spray application was used where appropriate for even coverage, followed by back-rolling or brushing to work the paint into the surface. Trim, fascia, doors, and other accents received separate finish coats to create clean contrast lines and highlight the home’s architectural features. Particular care was taken around rooflines, gutters, and foundation transitions to ensure uniform coverage and crisp edges.
Throughout the project, landscaping, walkways, and adjacent structures were carefully protected with masking, plastic, and drop cloths. Daily cleanup ensured the property remained accessible and presentable while the work was in progress. At completion, a detailed walk-around confirmed consistent sheen, uniform color, and solid coverage on all elevations, including more challenging areas such as gables, eaves, and second-story sections.
The finished result is a refreshed exterior that not only enhances curb appeal but also provides a resilient protective layer against Chattanooga’s seasonal humidity, sun exposure, and precipitation. The home now has a clean, updated appearance with properly sealed and coated surfaces designed to perform well for years to come.
