This project involved a comprehensive exterior wash of Urban Stack in Chattanooga, focusing on all guest-facing hardscape areas: sidewalks, patios, and the side entrance.

Work began with a full inspection of the concrete and paver surfaces around the restaurant to identify high-traffic zones, deep staining, chewing gum buildup, organic growth, and any areas requiring extra attention. All loose debris, trash, and surface dirt were first removed to ensure the cleaning solutions could work effectively.

The sidewalk areas surrounding the restaurant were pre-treated with appropriate cleaning agents to break down grease, food spills, and ground-in dirt common to restaurant traffic. After dwell time, the concrete was cleaned using professional pressure-washing equipment, with pressure and tips selected to lift contaminants without damaging the surface. Edges, cracks, and expansion joints were detailed to remove embedded debris and improve the overall appearance and safety of the walkways.

The patios, as primary guest spaces, received detailed attention. Furniture and movable items were shifted or temporarily relocated to allow complete access to all surface areas. These spaces were pre-treated for food and drink stains, oil spots, and mildew. Pressure washing was then performed methodically, ensuring an even clean with no visible striping. Care was taken to clean along building edges, posts, and corners where grime tends to accumulate. Once cleaned, the patios were rinsed thoroughly to remove any residual detergents and contaminants.

The side entrance, often exposed to both staff and guest traffic, was treated as a secondary guest entry. This area was pre-treated for organic growth and heavy soil, particularly near thresholds and along wall bases. The concrete and any adjoining hard surfaces were pressure washed to restore a uniform, clean appearance leading into the building. Special attention was given to the immediate entry point to improve both cleanliness and slip resistance.

Throughout the project, water run-off was managed responsibly, and adjacent landscaping and exterior finishes were protected. At completion, all areas—sidewalks, patios, and the side entrance—were left clean, free of visible stains and buildup, and ready for regular guest use, providing Urban Stack with a refreshed and well-maintained exterior environment.
