The work began with a full teardown of the existing structures. The original decking and framing were carefully dismantled and hauled away, and the footing locations were evaluated for stability and proper drainage. Where needed, new concrete footings were poured to meet current structural and safety standards.
New pressure-treated framing was then installed, including beams, joists, and ledger connections securely fastened to the house where applicable. All structural components were set to proper spans and elevations, ensuring a solid, level base and allowing for correct water runoff away from the home. Hardware, fasteners, and connectors were selected and installed in line with best practices for outdoor structural work.
