This project involved a complete exterior cleaning of a two-story residence in Dunlap, including the asphalt shingle roof, full house wash, and gutter cleaning.

The work began with a soft wash of the asphalt shingle roof. A carefully balanced blend of detergents was applied to break down and remove mold, mildew, dirt, and other organic growth that had accumulated on the shingles. The cleaning solution was allowed appropriate dwell time to work into the surface, and then the roof was thoroughly rinsed to flush away all residue. Particular attention was given to ensuring that all areas below the roofline—such as windows, siding, landscaping, and hard surfaces—were also rinsed to remove any runoff and leave a uniform, clean appearance. The roof is now free of visible staining and streaks, with treatment in place to slow the return of organic growth.

Next, the entire exterior of the two-story home was washed. This included the soffits, fascia, exterior gutters, downspouts, and all vertical wall surfaces. Multiple materials were present on the home—such as siding, brick, vinyl, Hardie board, or stucco—and each was cleaned using a low-pressure soft wash process to protect the finishes. A detergent mix formulated for exteriors was applied to lift most surface contaminants, including dirt, dust, mold, mildew, pollen, and cobwebs. Where there were light stains or areas of embedded grime, the surfaces were gently agitated by hand before being rinsed. All elevations of the home were then rinsed thoroughly from top to bottom to remove detergents and loosened residues, resulting in a consistent, refreshed appearance across the entire exterior.

As part of the project, the gutters were also cleaned out at no additional charge. Leaves, twigs, and other accumulated debris were removed from the gutter channels, and the gutters and downspouts were rinsed to confirm proper water flow. This step helped ensure that the home’s drainage system is functioning correctly and ready for heavy rain.

Upon completion, the property’s roof and exterior surfaces are noticeably brighter, with organic growth and surface contaminants removed, and the gutters are clear and flowing properly. All roof and exterior cleaning work performed on this project is covered by a 1-year mold and mildew warranty on the washed surfaces, and a 2-year warranty on the roof cleaning.
