QualityPRO Power Washing House Soft Wash in Lookout Mountain Georgia

This project involved a comprehensive low-pressure soft wash of a two-story residence to remove organic growth and debris from various exterior surfaces, including brick, vinyl, and Hardie board, while protecting delicate fixtures and landscaping.

This project involved a complete exterior soft wash of a two‑story home in Lookout Mountain, focusing on restoring a clean, uniform appearance across multiple surface types while protecting the building materials and surrounding landscaping.

Work began with a careful inspection of the home’s exterior, including soffits, fascia, gutters, downspouts, and all vertical wall surfaces. The property featured a mix of materials—siding, brick, vinyl, and Hardie board—each of which was noted for its condition and specific cleaning needs. Sensitive areas such as exterior outlets, light fixtures, and door thresholds were identified and given added protection before washing.

A low‑pressure soft wash process was used throughout the project. A custom blend of detergents was applied to break down organic growth and general buildup without relying on high pressure, which can damage finishes or force water behind siding. The cleaning solution was applied evenly to soffits and fascia to remove accumulated dirt, mildew, and insect activity that often collect in those upper areas. Exterior gutters and downspouts were treated at the same time to lift streaks, algae, and grime, helping restore a more uniform, bright appearance from roofline to ground level.

All exterior vertical surfaces were then treated in sections. The brick received a controlled application to loosen embedded dirt in the mortar joints and face of the brick while preserving the integrity of the masonry. Vinyl and Hardie board surfaces were carefully washed to remove mold, mildew, pollen, and atmospheric residue that had dulled the original finish. On each elevation, cobwebs, dust, and surface residue around windows, doors, and architectural details were addressed as the detergent worked.

Where light staining and more stubborn deposits were present—such as lightly embedded dirt on shaded walls or areas exposed to irrigation overspray—those sections were gently scrubbed by hand or with soft bristle tools. This step allowed for more detailed attention without risking damage to paint, caulking, or textured surfaces.

Once the detergents had sufficient dwell time to break down contaminants, all treated areas were rinsed thoroughly using low pressure. The rinse phase ensured that cleaning agents, loosened debris, and organic growth were fully removed, leaving the surfaces clean rather than simply treated. Extra care was taken around landscaping, walkways, and entry points to direct runoff away from sensitive areas and prevent streaking or residue.

By the end of the project, the home’s exterior showed a noticeable improvement in overall appearance and brightness. The soffits and fascia were free of darkening and organic buildup, gutters and downspouts appeared cleaner and more uniform, and the various wall surfaces—brick, vinyl, and Hardie board—displayed a refreshed, even finish with the majority of prior staining, mold, and surface contaminants removed.

The completed work is covered under a 1‑Year Mold & Mildew Warranty for the washed exterior surfaces (with a 2‑Year term applicable to roof cleaning projects), reflecting the expectation that the treatment will continue to inhibit organic growth and maintain the improved appearance for an extended period.
