Pressure cleaned and rinsed the tops and walls of two tanks and surrounding area to remove mold, mildew, dirt, and residue using detergents and a 40′ electric lift.
This project involved the complete cleaning and surface preparation of two industrial storage tanks, including both the tops of the tanks and the upper wall sections where material commonly drains and accumulates residue.
Access to all required areas was achieved with a 40-foot electric lift, which allowed precise positioning around the tank perimeter and over the tank tops. Three base plates were used with the lift to ensure proper stabilization and safe operation on the work surface throughout the duration of the project.
The cleaning process began with a thorough inspection of both tanks to identify buildup, staining, and areas of heavier contamination. Particular attention was given to the sections of the tank walls directly below drainage points, where product runoff, mold, mildew, and other residues tend to concentrate.
A pressure cleaning system was then used in combination with a tailored blend of detergents formulated to break down mold, mildew, dirt, and general surface contaminants. The detergent solution was applied evenly across the tank tops and down the exterior walls, allowing appropriate dwell time to loosen buildup before rinsing. This process helped restore the appearance of the tank surfaces while supporting ongoing asset maintenance and helping maintain a cleaner environment around the tanks.
Following detergent application, the tanks were thoroughly pressure rinsed to remove all loosened residue and cleaning solution. The rinse extended beyond the tank surfaces to include the surrounding work area, ensuring that any displaced debris or runoff from the cleaning process was fully washed away and the site was left in a neat, orderly condition.
By the end of the job, the exterior surfaces of both storage tanks—particularly the tops and the drainage-affected wall areas—were fully cleaned of mold, mildew, dirt, and visible residues, with all work completed using appropriate access equipment and controlled cleaning methods suited to an industrial environment.
