QualityPRO Power Washing Stairwell Cleaning and Restoration in Chattanooga TN
The back and interior deck stairwells of the CARTA North Garage were thoroughly cleaned and restored through pressure washing, floor scrubbing, handrail sanitization, and detailed dusting of walls, baseboards, and overhead surfaces.
At the CARTA North Garage in Chattanooga, the stairwells in the back and interior decks were thoroughly cleaned and restored to a much higher standard of appearance and hygiene.
The work began with a full power wash of the stairwell floors and treads in the back stairwell. All stair surfaces and landings were carefully pressure washed to remove built-up dirt, grime, and residues from heavy daily use. The edges and corners, where debris tends to accumulate, were given extra attention to ensure that no residue remained.
Baseboards throughout the stairwells were then cleaned by hand. Dust, scuffs, and marks along the lower walls and trim were removed, resulting in cleaner transitions between the walls and the floors. Walls were spot cleaned as needed to address visible marks, fingerprints, and dirt. This included focusing on high-contact areas around corners, landings, and doorways while preserving intact paint and finishes.
Overhead and elevated surfaces were also addressed. All accessible pipes, head-high conduit, and ledges were dusted to remove accumulated dust and cobwebs. A spider brush and other dusting tools were used to clear corners, junctions, and hard-to-reach areas, improving both cleanliness and the overall appearance of the stairwell structure.
All handrails were washed and wiped down end to end. This included cleaning the undersides, brackets, and mounting points as well as the main gripping surfaces. The result was a set of rails that looked clean and felt noticeably better for daily users of the garage.
On the interior stairwell decks, the floors and stairs were scrubbed and mopped using a deck brush and mop system. After an initial sweep to remove loose debris, a cleaning solution was applied and agitated with deck brushes to break up ground-in dirt. The surfaces were then mopped to lift away residue, leaving the steps and landings clean and uniform in appearance.
Throughout the process, care was taken to work systematically from top to bottom so that dust and debris did not resettle on cleaned areas. By the end of the project, both the back stairwell and interior deck stairwells presented a noticeably improved environment: cleaner floors and stairs, refreshed walls and baseboards, dust-free overhead areas, and handrails that were fully cleaned and ready for regular use.
