QualityPRO Power Washing Outdoor Living Area & Concrete Pressure Washing in Chattanooga TN

This Chattanooga project utilized surface and soft washing techniques to deep clean the rear walkway, under-deck concrete, and 1896 bar patio while specifically removing red clay stains from the chimney and retaining walls.

This project in Chattanooga focused on rejuvenating several key outdoor living areas: the rear walkway and concrete under the decks, the 1896 bar patio, and the chimney/Retaining Wall Pressure Washing area. The work was completed using a combination of surface washing and low-pressure soft washing to safely remove organic growth and environmental buildup while protecting the property’s finishes.

### Rear Walkway & Under-Deck Concrete – 1896 Bar Patio Area

All hard surfaces in and around the 1896 bar patio—especially the concrete under the decks and the rear walkway—were first surface washed using a carefully mixed blend of detergents. This solution was designed to break down and lift mold, mildew, dust, pollen, dirt, and other residue that had accumulated over time in these shaded, moisture-prone areas.

Once the detergents had adequate dwell time to work, the concrete surfaces were thoroughly rinsed. The approach ensured that contaminants were removed rather than just displaced, leaving the concrete cleaner, brighter, and safer underfoot.

Within this patio space, a number of specific elements were addressed:

- **Tile Floor **
The tile floor in the patio area was treated with a detergent blend suitable for hard surface cleaning, then carefully rinsed. This removed embedded dirt, mildew, and surface films, restoring the tile’s original appearance and improving traction.

- **Furniture Rinse **
All outdoor furniture in the work area was rinsed to remove dust, pollen, and overspray from the cleaning process. This left seating and tables clean and ready for use without leaving behind detergent residue.

- **Handrail and Base **
Handrails and their bases were soft washed with mild detergents applied via low-pressure equipment, effectively removing accumulated grime and organic growth without damaging paint or finishes. A thorough rinse followed to ensure a clean, uniform appearance.

- **Walls and Columns **
Vertical surfaces surrounding the patio, including walls and columns, were treated with the soft wash system. The mild detergents lifted mold, mildew, and airborne pollutants from the surfaces. All sides were then rinsed at low pressure to avoid chipping, etching, or forcing water behind the materials.

- **Ceiling **
The underside ceiling surfaces beneath the deck and around the patio were gently soft washed and rinsed. This addressed mold, spider webs, dust, and stains that tend to accumulate overhead in covered outdoor areas, resulting in a visibly brighter and cleaner ceiling.

- **Concrete Stairs **
The concrete stairs were surface washed along with adjacent walkways to remove organic growth and surface dirt. This improved both appearance and safety by reducing slipperiness.

- **Wall Under 2nd Floor **
The wall surfaces under the second-floor area received a targeted soft wash treatment. Mild detergents were applied via low pressure, allowing for effective cleaning in a protected, partially enclosed area. These walls were then thoroughly rinsed, eliminating streaking and residue.

- **Walls Underneath the Patio (Additional Rinse)**
As part of the final cleanup, the walls beneath the patio were rinsed to remove any loosened debris, ensuring the entire under-deck area looked uniform and freshly cleaned.

Throughout the patio and under-deck work, **prep and property protection were included**. Sensitive areas were identified and safeguarded, and surroundings were protected from overspray and runoff before cleaning began.

### Chimney Area & Retaining Wall Pressure Washing (Red Clay Stain Removal)

The project also included a detailed cleaning of the chimney area and adjacent Retaining Wall Pressure Washing. These surfaces were treated with a soft wash application using a blend of mild detergents tailored to remove mold, mildew, pollen, and general dirt without harming masonry or finishes.

A particular focus was placed on the **removal of red clay stains** from the Retaining Wall Pressure Washing. These stains can be stubborn and deeply embedded in porous masonry. The cleaning process allowed the detergents to penetrate and break down the clay deposits, followed by a thorough low-pressure rinse from all sides. This restored a more natural, even tone to the wall and significantly improved its overall appearance.

Using low-pressure SoftWash equipment throughout minimized the risk of damage to mortar joints, masonry surfaces, and any nearby painted or finished elements. All treated areas were left clean, evenly rinsed, and free from detergent residue.

By the end of the project, the rear walkway, under-deck concrete, 1896 bar patio surfaces, ceiling, walls, rails, stairs, and the chimney/Retaining Wall Pressure Washing area had all been fully cleaned and refreshed. The work not only improved the look of these outdoor spaces, but also removed contaminants that can degrade materials over time and affect day-to-day use and comfort.
