This project involved a complete exterior soft wash of a one‑story residence in Whitwell, including both the house and the asphalt shingle roof.

The work began with a detailed cleaning of all trim components: soffits, fascia, exterior gutters, and downspouts. These areas were treated with a low‑pressure soft wash solution, using a carefully measured blend of detergents designed to loosen and remove accumulated dirt, organic growth, and atmospheric residue without causing damage to painted or metal surfaces. Special attention was given to seams, corners, and gutter fronts where staining and streaking tend to collect.

All exterior vertical wall surfaces were then addressed, including a mix of siding materials present on the home—such as brick, vinyl, Hardie board, and/or stucco. Each surface was pre‑rinsed as needed and then treated with the soft wash solution to break down layers of dust, mold, mildew, pollen, cobwebs, and general surface buildup. In areas with light staining or embedded dirt, the siding was gently scrubbed by hand or with soft brushes to lift the contaminants without marring the finish or protective coatings. Following treatment, all walls and trim were thoroughly rinsed from top to bottom to ensure that detergents and loosened debris were fully removed, leaving a clean, uniform appearance.

The asphalt shingle roof received a dedicated soft wash treatment as well. A roof‑safe detergent blend was applied at low pressure to target mold, mildew, and other organic growth commonly found on shingles. The solution was allowed to dwell to effectively break down these contaminants while protecting the integrity of the shingles. After adequate dwell time, the roof was thoroughly rinsed, with special care taken to control runoff and protect landscaping and surfaces below. All lower areas—walls, windows, and surrounding hard surfaces—were then rinsed again to ensure no residual cleaning solution remained.

Upon completion, the house and roof were left with a refreshed, brighter appearance, free from the majority of common exterior contaminants. The work performed on this project is covered by a 1‑year mold and mildew warranty for the cleaned exterior surfaces and a 2‑year warranty for the roof cleaning.
