This project involved a full exterior refresh of a Chattanooga residence, focusing on the home’s vertical surfaces, hardscapes, Retaining Wall Pressure Washings, and outdoor living areas. The work was completed using a combination of soft washing and surface cleaning methods tailored to each material to safely restore appearance without damage.

The house itself, including the front porch and rear screened porch, was thoroughly cleaned from the soffits and fascia down to the main siding. All exterior gutters and downspouts, along with the home’s vertical surfaces—whether brick, vinyl, Hardie board, or stucco—were soft washed with a controlled blend of detergents. This process removed accumulated dirt, dust, mold, mildew, pollen, cobwebs, and other residues. Areas with light staining or embedded dirt were gently scrubbed as needed before being rinsed clean, leaving the exterior bright and uniform without using high pressure on sensitive surfaces.

The concrete front walkway was surface washed using detergents suited for lifting mold, mildew, and general soiling from the porous concrete. Once contaminants were loosened, the walkway was rinsed thoroughly, resulting in a noticeably cleaner, safer, and more attractive approach to the home.

Multiple Retaining Wall Pressure Washings and associated masonry elements received detailed attention. The front Retaining Wall Pressure Washing and four brick entry columns at the dual drive entrances were surface washed using a detergent blend to address mold, mildew, dirt, dust, pollen, and other film that had accumulated over time. All masonry surfaces were then thoroughly rinsed to reveal the original color and definition of the brickwork.

On the side and rear of the property, the front-side Retaining Wall Pressure Washing and rear Retaining Wall Pressure Washing underwent the same surface washing process. Each wall was treated to break down organic growth and surface pollutants, then rinsed to restore a consistent, well-kept appearance along the property’s borders.

The rear brick steps were also cleaned using a focused surface wash. Detergents were applied to lift mold, mildew, and ground-in dirt from the textured brick and mortar. After treatment, the steps were rinsed thoroughly, improving both appearance and traction underfoot.

Attention extended to the home’s outdoor living features. A wood backyard swing was soft washed with a milder detergent blend suitable for wood surfaces. This removed pollen, mold, mildew, and general residue while preserving the integrity of the wood. A gentle rinse completed the process, leaving the swing clean and ready for use without harsh stripping.

Finally, the stone pool deck and surrounding patio area were surface washed to remove mold, mildew, dirt, and other contaminants that tend to build up on high-use, moisture-prone surfaces. The stone was treated with appropriate detergents and then thoroughly rinsed, restoring the natural look of the stonework and providing a fresher, more inviting pool environment.

By the end of the project, the home’s exterior, hardscapes, and outdoor amenities had been comprehensively cleaned with methods chosen for each surface, resulting in a revitalized property that looks well cared for from the front drive to the pool deck.
