This project involved a comprehensive exterior cleaning of a commercial property in Chattanooga, focusing on both the building envelope and surrounding concrete surfaces, with specialized equipment used to safely access elevated areas.

The primary scope included a full soft wash of the building’s brick, stone, and block exterior. A blend of mild detergents was applied to break down and lift mold, mildew, pollen, dirt, dust, and other surface contaminants. Using low-pressure SoftWash equipment, the team treated all affected areas to ensure effective cleaning without damaging the masonry or mortar joints. After appropriate dwell time, every side of the structure was thoroughly rinsed, restoring a uniform, refreshed appearance to the façade.

In addition to the building wash, all Commercial Concrete Power Washing sidewalks were surface cleaned. The same careful approach was used: a detergent blend was applied to loosen organic growth, airborne pollutants, and general traffic-related buildup. The sidewalks were then surface washed and fully rinsed to remove residues, leaving the walkways cleaner, brighter, and more inviting for pedestrian use.

The project also included cleaning of concrete stairs and a concrete roof area. To safely reach elevated and otherwise inaccessible portions of the structure, a 60-foot articulated manlift with jib was utilized for one full day. This equipment allowed the crew to access higher building sections and roof areas efficiently while maintaining strict safety practices. With the manlift in place, the team was able to apply the soft wash solution and perform detailed rinsing on upper stories and hard-to-reach architectural elements, completing a consistent clean from ground level to the highest accessible points.

By the end of the project, the building’s exterior masonry, concrete sidewalks, stairs, and roof areas had been thoroughly cleaned, with organic growth and surface pollutants removed and the property’s overall appearance significantly improved.
