QualityPRO Power Washing Foodliner Day Cabs Deluxe Wash Bi-Weekly Service, Foodliner Sleeper Cabs Deluxe Wash Bi-Weekly Service
Pressure washed surfaces with detergents, applied brightener as needed, and thoroughly rinsed to remove residue and enhance appearance.
This project involved providing a bi-weekly deluxe wash service for Foodliner’s Chattanooga-based fleet, consisting of both day cabs and sleeper cabs. The work was performed on a recurring schedule to keep the vehicles in consistently clean, presentable, and well-maintained condition.
Each service visit followed a structured, multi-step process:
1. **Initial Inspection and Preparation**
Before washing, each day cab and sleeper cab was quickly assessed for surface buildup, road film, fuel and oil residue, and areas with heavy oxidation or dulling, such as wheels, tanks, and exposed metal. This allowed for targeted use of detergents and brightener where they would be most effective without overuse.
2. **Pressure Cleaning with Detergent Blend**
All exterior surfaces were cleaned using a pressure washer in combination with a carefully selected blend of detergents.
- The detergent solution was applied evenly over the cab surfaces, including the cab body, grills, mirrors, exposed frame areas, and accessible chassis sections.
- Particular attention was paid to high-contact and high-visibility areas—doors, steps, fuel tanks, bumpers, and lower side panels—where road grime tends to accumulate.
- The pressure cleaning process effectively broke down and removed surface contaminants such as dirt, road salt, insect residue, fuel mist, and general road film, restoring a clean base surface for the brightening step.
3. **Application of Brightener Where Needed**
Once the initial soil was removed, a brightener was applied selectively to areas that benefit most from enhanced appearance, typically aluminum and metal components.
- This included wheels, fuel tanks, steps, and other oxidized or dulled metal surfaces.
- The brightener was applied only where conditions warranted it, ensuring that the finish was improved without unnecessary chemical exposure.
- Dwell times were monitored closely to achieve effective brightening while protecting the underlying finishes and decals.
4. **Thorough Rinse and Finishing**
After the detergents and brighteners had done their work, each tractor received a comprehensive rinse:
- All chemical residues were fully removed using clean water under pressure, ensuring no streaking or spotting was left behind.
- The rinse covered the entire cab and treated metalwork, flushing away loosened contaminants and any remaining detergents or brightener.
- The result was a clean, uniform finish with visibly restored brightness on metal components and a refreshed overall appearance.
5. **Consistency Across Day Cabs and Sleeper Cabs**
Both day cabs and sleeper cabs were handled with the same level of detail, while accounting for the slightly different configurations and surface areas:
- **Day cabs:** Focus on front end, cab sides, exposed chassis, and high-traffic access points.
- **Sleeper cabs:** Additional surfaces, including extended cab sides and sleeper compartments, were carefully washed and rinsed to maintain a consistent appearance across the fleet.
Over the course of this completed project, the bi-weekly schedule ensured that buildup never became severe, which allowed the detergent blend and targeted brightener applications to work efficiently each visit. The ongoing routine preserved the fleet’s professional image, helped protect exterior finishes from long-term damage, and kept both day cabs and sleeper cabs in a reliably clean condition for drivers and company representation.
