This project involved a complete exterior washing of a busy restaurant location in Chattanooga, focusing on three key areas: the front sidewalk, the outdoor patio, and the dumpster/service area. The work was performed using water supplied from a nearby fire hydrant, in accordance with local guidelines and best practices for safe, controlled hydrant use.
The front sidewalk received a thorough cleaning to remove built-up foot traffic grime, food spills, gum, and general street dirt. All surface areas from the main entrance outward were pre-treated where necessary, then pressure washed to restore a clean, uniform appearance. Care was taken to direct water flow away from entryways and high-traffic zones to avoid tracking and slipping hazards during and after the work.
The patio area was carefully washed to refresh the dining environment. This included cleaning all exposed concrete or hardscape walking surfaces, focusing on areas beneath and around tables where grease, drink residue, and organic stains tend to accumulate. Attention was given to edges, corners, and transitions to surrounding landscaping or building elements so that the entire patio looked consistent and well-maintained when completed.
In the dumpster area, the objective was both cleanliness and odor reduction. The concrete pad and surrounding access zones were pressure washed to remove compacted debris, grease, food residue, and tire marks from service vehicles. Special attention was paid to drain paths and low spots where runoff and residue can collect. The result was a noticeably cleaner, more sanitary service area that supports better overall site hygiene.
Throughout the job, water was supplied via a fire hydrant connection. The hydrant was opened, regulated, and closed properly, and water flow was managed to prevent unnecessary runoff and to keep public walkways and neighboring areas free from standing water and debris. All work was completed with the restaurant remaining accessible, and the final result was a visibly cleaner, more inviting exterior for both guests and staff.
