Each service visit began with a full exterior evaluation of the tanker surfaces to identify buildup, road film, tar deposits, and any areas requiring focused agitation. The wash process used a staged application of detergents, degreasers, and aluminum brighteners tailored to the specific soils present on bulk liquid tankers operating in regional service.
A high-quality detergent blend was applied across all exterior surfaces to break down general road grime, dust, and organic residue. Heavy-duty degreasers were then targeted on high-impact zones—lower panels, rear sections, under rails, and around fittings—where oil, grease, and fuel-related residues tend to accumulate. On units #079 and #086, particular attention was given to tar-contaminated sections. These areas were pre-treated with appropriate chemistry to soften and release tar deposits before any mechanical agitation, minimizing the risk of damaging the underlying finish.
